Meet the Maker

Erin Lovell - Owner, Sweet Cedar & Co.

Hi there!

I'm Erin, a trained chef and skincare manufacturer who believes that natural skincare is a lot like healthy eating. The simpler you keep it, the better it works.

Not so long ago, I had a successful bakery and catering business, but after a challenging year of pregnancy, a cancer diagnosis and treatment for my husband, and just overall burnout, I made the decision that I didn't want to be in the restaurant business any longer. I owned our retail property, so I decided to switch gears and make a go with Sweet Cedar.

My business is a family affair, and my daughters help out with everything from scent blends, to shipping orders and everything in between. My husband does anything I ask and sometimes works with us for hours after working his full time job. And finally, the namesake of my business is Cedar, my three year old son. He shows up to make messes, raid the candy jar, and greet every person coming and going.

I work in a full commercial production kitchen that is still licensed annually with our county health department. We have a retail shop in the front and a candle cottage in a separate building on the property. Our products are made in small batches with great care in packaging and presentation. We use local mountain spring water and the best ingredients we can source in all of our formulations.

If you are in our area, please stop and see us, you can smell us from down the street!
